In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans has seen a host of innovative new charter schools take root in the city. One of these, Sci Academy, is providing an ambitious college prep experience in an underprivileged environment and trying to set a standard for the rest of the nation.

  • i go to ths school its nice but its hard im a freshmen and i must say Mr.bryant the blck guy is such a cutie in person

  • @crock703 he gave you their rank in certain areas. some of this stuff works. It's not the crap that works is the problem it is the crap that does not work and people pretend it does.

  • @dugiv never thought about it that way. but you make a great point. americans hit the mark on self-esteem, but academic achievement is low.

  • Keep at it and best of luck. I trust you can get the same results regardless of your governance.

  • i've attended this school for its first year of opening (my 9th grade year) and although its hard work its well worth it. even though i donot attend Sci Academy anymore the things that i've learned there have stuck with me. They care not only about you learning, but being a better person. I love all the staff & teachers:) shoutout to Uconn!!!
