I reckon yes you maybe doing a little too much, but it's mainly the mic thats letting the cover down, the symbols sound aweful on the mic. Is the song just being played in the room? The drums are far too overpowering to the music volume.

I mean to those saying he's doing a little too much, Cobus does more than necessary but it doesn't matter as the song is being fed through the pc so it sounds much cleaner.

At the end of the day, you have skill, but just need a better recording setup.

I think you are f*cking amazing. I dont agree with comment about overdoing entirely. You are show range of texture. The point of covering isnt exactly duplicating but offereing different aspects. I love the wood block accents and tom work.
