to all those who are concerned...this was not a part of any secular pull or temptation from me. it was just me having fun with a song that I happened to like. There are no embarkations for a country music, or any other secular music career for that matter, in the works. I would like to set the record straight and squash that bug before it spreads wings and flies. this song was not part of a CD or compilation to be released by anyone. It was for fun only. I am completely sold out to Jesus!!

....anyway what I'm trying to say probably went way over some people's heads on here but I think you get what I'm saying. Sing a popular country song alot of people like and they might end up hearing your version of it..then when they like your singing they will discover your "real" music. Now you're ministering to a new crowd. :-)

There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with you singing country music song. Oh my goodness! Are these people on here living in a bubble or something? Apostle Paul said he was all things to all people so that he might win some. Too many Christians just wanna stay inside their churches and preach to the choir. Go ye to all the world ! Someone like Josh Turner or even R Flats can reach millions when they sing one of their Christian type songs cause they already have a lost crowd listening. just sayin'

Weston it is a great testimony to your daddy that you are carrying on that VOICE for God and a compliment to dad as well. I know he must be enjoying Heaven all the more because of it, and that you are walking in his footsteps. Keep on walking brother, keep on walking!!

If you feel so strongly that you must go on the defensive with such a strong statement about not going country, why even sing it in the first place? Really it's not that big of a deal as long as the lyrics are not immoral. If a christian can't sing a secular song then that must include all forms of secular entertainment.Sing what you want and fooey on what people think. Answere to no man, only God! You're doing a fine job, God bless you.

Dear byfaith2u, you must understand that when one is a singer of the gospel and in the ministry,and you sing a song and then post it, you open the door to comments from the people, like them or not. thats life. glad to get reassuring words from Weston himself. God bless you buddy.

Weston, I agree with ilovthehinsons57. I remember when your Daddy and The Original Hinsons in 1993, at a concert One More Hallelujah, when describing your granddaddy with all the children around the bed and that some of them had not totally given their life to Jesus. Please don't get caught up in these songs just because you can. When serving our Lord, we cannot ride the fence. I pray that you will only sing for the Lord. Many Blessings and Love, Gwen
