I liked it. Why does everyone persist in looking too deeply into the song/video? it is what it is...a comparison between "Herne's sons". One light, the other dark. they were as different as night and day and obviously the producers felt they should play it along those lines or they wouldnt have done it in the first place. Lighten up...its only a video! lol =D

@LesterC33 Agree entirely with your sentiments re RoS. It established a Gold Standard in terms of quality entertainment & the finest interpretation of the Robin Hood legend. As you rightly state, each & every character was played brilliantly. Ray Winstone's portrayal of Will Scarlet was awesome, as was Mark Ryan's Naz, a man of few words but great deeds. Nicholas Grace is THE definitive Sheriff, he was brilliantly entertaining. Robert Addie also played a superb Gisburne. Nothing will surpass it.

a little point of insignificant ROBIN HOOD trivia for all you KEVIN COSTNER fans, the character played by MORGAN FREEMAN in prince of thieves; was actually a hollywood rip off of the character played by MARK RYAN in ROBIN OF SHERWOOD: "NASIR" the saracen. check it out if you don't believe me, the only 2 versions that feature a saracen are ROBIN OF SHERWOOD & ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES! And as you all know, ROBIN OF SHERWOOD was made first!!!!

unlike the abyssmal bbc/jonas armstrong version or the absolutely dire kevin costner film, ROBIN OF SHERWOOD had it all. every member of the cast played their roles to perfection as far as i'm concerned. the late, great ROBERT ADDIE is THE ONE & ONLY "GUY OF GISBURNE, the gorgeous JUDI TROTT is the DEFINITIVE "MAID MARION, and of course the only TRUE "LITTLE JOHN" & "WILL SCARLETT" were both played to perfection by CLIVE MANTLE & RAY WINSTONE

i am a huge robin of sherwood fan, & i think both michael & jason did a fantastic job of bringing their individual characters to life. not getting involved in the whole who was better than who saga, having read all the stories, legends, etc & knowing that historically, "ROBIN HOOD" actually did exist & that there were 3 separate individuals who had the honour of bearing that name, i think the whole cast & crew did an awesome job & to me "ROBIN OF SHERWOOD" will always be THE DEFINITIVE version

the music is okay as far as it goes. While most people loved Michael Praed in the role, he was great but I also liked Jason Connery. He did a good job of following in Praed's footsteps.

I just loved that scene between Robert of Huntingdon and Will Scarlett. The big fight from the pub along the street was surely stolen from "The Quiet Man" - very funny!
