This is the original trailer to Planescape Torment off of the Fallout 1 CD from 1996.

If you'd like information as to how to rip old video game movies like this from bik, smk, or exe files let me know.

  • This game has the best narrative I've ever seen....in anything....ever. Why can't we have storylines like this with the graphics of today?

  • This trailer reminds me of the trailer for "Alien," especially the text and the siren-like sound at the very end. The music at the beginning reminds me of the beginning of the song "Get it Faster" by Jimmy Eat World, strangely enough.

  • I'm the guy at 1:25

  • You can actually get this game now on GOG.com

  • :32 is a cool scene... reminded me of an old Godzilla movie or something.

  • This trailer is so epic.

  • @Luisfius Eeeeh, I find the Witcher universe to be a little devoid of charm (and their approach to dark fantasy is a little, questionable)

As for Alpha Protocol and New Vegas, AP is certainly well-written, but the gameplay gets in the way. NV suffers from Gamebryo being shit and the base concept still being post-apocalyptic Oblivion.

Strangely though, I favor KotoR II over Planescape, get so annoyed when Bioware fanboys whine about the story not being 'epic' (ugh) enough and whatnot.

  • @uninterestingentity No trust for CDProject RED?

Also, I would argue that New Vegas and Alpha Protocol both live up somewhat to Mask of the Betrayer, but it is kind of hard to get as high as the best cRPG since Torment.

  • @slitor Sums up today's games pretty well, sadly.

I wish Obsidian would come up with some amazing RPG again, they're the only developer I still trust when it comes to RPG's but they haven't delivered a real good RPG since Mask of the Betrayer.

  • I watch this everytime I reinstall Fallout. Thanks for uploading it

  • This was the same trailer I had on my Baldur's Gate 1 CD, it blew my mind.
