This is an awesome tribute. We do need to recognize the countless hours our volunteer Emergency Management Agencies, fire fighters, dog handlers and off duty police do in our counties, and cities across the country. And a special "thank you" to our chaplain volunteers out there too.

i have much respect for volunteer search and rescue teams. they put themselves in danger but they dont ask for recognition, medals, or to be paid, they just ask that god gives them the strength to save a life. people like these are the real gardian angels

My thoughts and prayer continue to go out to Michael's family. Though I never knew Michael, he holds a special place in my heart. In all of this time of sadness, joy can be found in that Michael, through the Lord's blessing brings hope and promise to all who believe!

Beautiful tribute, dmbarry777!!! USCOC is absolutely correct! Praise God and give thanks for ALL of the great people and dogs, yes even dogs, who help others all over the world!!!
Because of this effect in Oct by Brad Dennis (Klaas Kids Org) and the Bossier City Fire Dept, it lead to two vehicles being recovered of missing persons: one being Michael Christopher Pierce (our grandson) and one being Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeffrey L. Timmons. This happened on the Red River near the north ramp of the boat launch on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway in Bossier City La.

Our prayers continue to go out to the family and friends of both Christopher Michael Pierce and Staff Sgt. Jeffrey L. Timmons during their time of grief.
