Final Fantasy XII - Voice Comparisons

I had to work really hard on this one because my movie maker didn't work most of the time -.- it was really annoying... but still kinda funny.

I should warn you... the english voices are really loud compared to the japanese one so watch out your ears. I couldn't really do anything about it without ruining the quality of the voices so, yeah. Sorry about that.

And I know Larsa is not really part of the main team but he still is an important character and I like him very much (he and his hi-potions have rescued me more often than I can count). So here he is :D

So which one you like better, english or japanese?

I do not own Final Fantasy XII. I just made this to the other fans.

Usually i like jap but this time i prefer the eng. I was iching to hear ashe's voice in jap i really liked it, other characters i prefer eng. I love the game soo different from all other FF games.

Ashe and Penelo actually sound a bit better in the jap version imo.

Fran and Larsa have the best English voices.

Quality of voice work is up to more than just the actors. Games like Assassin's Creed, Max Payne, or Wad of Gore have more effort put into it than a game that was made elsewhere and just needs to be voiced over for the sake of consumers' xenophonophobia.

That said, XII really had an outstanding dub. Maybe it had to do with the near absence of emo, but whatever they did different with this title, i wish they did it always.

Balthier's English VA alone makes the English version better.

He is just that much more badass!

Also, Fran's (as well as the other Vierra) accent in the English version really adds to the notion that the Vierra are a different species than the Hume. It adds to the world's realism.

Of course, she also sounds really sexy, but that's just a plus. =p

Yeah, weeaboos usually always prefer Japanese over English. It's funny to think what authorising can happen with a British accent. /facepalm
