  • I think my teacher showed it a different way. Placing one equation on top of the other, then dividing the two so the a's cross out and u subtract B's exponents and solve for them or something like that. I can't remember or find my notes on it though.

  • @Jhand1013 yes, that way is more efficient; however, i have found that many students also find it more confusing, so i show this method as well as it is 'more familiar' to most students.

  • are you a teacher?

  • @Fanatic048 no, i no longer stand in front of a class

  • your voice is really calming to do math to

  • its just pluging points in the equation, then solve for a and b and then put them together! i get this ! yay thx!

  • @Jhand1013 that is elimination... you can use either way :)

  • I still do not understand how to do this question:

What is the focal point given the following exponential function; (transformation of function y=5^x)

    4/25^(x-4) * (1/8y - 3 ) = √[1/125^(-4x+8)]

  • I can't thank you enough..

ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS ARE EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH. This helped me out A LOT. :)

  • can you possibly tell me what the "b" from the equation y=ab^t because that's the only thing my notes don't tell me and ironically its what i need for this assignment :)

  • This helped SOO much. Thankss :)

  • this is assuming there were no transformations other than vertical stretch right?

  • Thank you so much my teacher hasn't taught us something this useful yet...
