Tibet still wants independence

This week marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Dalai Lama fleeing from Tibet after a failed uprising against Chinese rule. Half a century on, it seems the fate of Tibet has been sealed since it became a part of China.

Tibet was a free country. China invaded and occupied it. China and Tibet were one country only during Chingiz Khan's time. China should Tibet back to the people of Tibet. Likewise inner Mongolia should be given freedom and allowed to join outer Mongolia. One grand united Mongolia and a totally independent Tibet should be created. DOWN WITH CHINA!

china didnt abolished shit in tibet!! according to the 17 point agreement they singed with tibet, they never wanted to alter anything in that political system! the slavery story is all a lie and was created after the dalai lama was forced to leave tibet in 1959 to stop the violent crackdown by the chinese against brave tibetan who where uprising against illegal chinese rule

How dare you say that Tibet was a free country when slavery was so common place! China abolished slavery and serfdom in Tibet. Women's rights were horrendous. Now women are equal to men. 98% of Tibet was owned by the monasteries and the ruling elite. China made land reforms to give most of the land back to the peasants and common people. There are more monasteries in Tibet now than before. Literacy and life expectancy is up. The Tibetan population is increasing. Come to Tibet!

The western authorities don't care about human rights. They are too power hungry and greedy - they would expand their territories with hungry eyes and would not hestitate of doing evil as long as the rest of world willing to sacrifice.

Apparently these people are very unhappy because Chinese government ignores human rights. Instead of pointing fingers to the outsiders, Chinese need to look the problems within. The westerners are too busy pursuing own lives and they have no interest of doing something like the accusations they've made. Once Chinese government put these people in a certain category and then they would get executions as political criminals. Do you see any just here?
