I cut a mandarin orange to a slice and shined on the branch of the tree. Wild birds came, a Japanese white-eye and a gray starling.

  • What a great idea using the sliced orange and such attractive birds!!

  • thank you. try it with orange.

  • Yes, you don't see a lot of Japanese White-eyes or Brown-eared Bulbuls in North America. Our best offerings here are sunflower seeds and suet, apart from natural vegetation. In Central America, bananas attract just about everything. Different strokes for different folks—different food preferences by different species in different localities.

  • These birds are like Orioles in the US - they love oranges!

    So beautiful :)
