A lot of people like to blame the failure of this country on things like the FED, bush and co, the war, and many other things.
But, it basically boils down to American citizens who have the power to vote for a representative and choose not to, from the local level to the house and senate. When 50% or more of the population doesn't utilize their voting power, this is the congress you will end up with.
This congress is a joke, and the american people are a joke.
