also i remember playing this game and i was playing the team with earl campbell and he was runnin all over me and i injured him finally on one tackle an he got like a dislocated shoulder an 3 plays later he was back in runnin all over me lol

how do you break tackles so easily? i just got this game and i suck at running the ball

Couple of things...
1.) is your O-line generics set to run block?
2.) If you have a power back make sure you are trying to stiff arm and truck rather than spin moves and jukes which are for smaller backs
3.) Know when to tap vs. charge
4.) If the defense is stacked on the side you want to run to, call audible (triangle) and click the stick in and it will reverse the play

you keep tapping the button...you know it is working if you see the circle under the player flicking as you are tapping the a button
