RPG maker VX - EarthBound Battle Hack

I recoded some of the core scripts for RPG Maker VX to make the battles look and act a bit more like they did in EarthBound, plus a couple little features that were in Mother 3. This is the end result of about a week's worth of work. It's not finished, yes, I am aware of all the formatting problems as well as the Bennett's name when he joins your party. :P

I don't know if I will be going anywhere with this after I finish. I just felt like doing this to get into RGSS2 and RPG Maker VX's systems.

Nice work! But, just wondering, is it possible to have the rolling hp counter like Earthbound and M3, or is that impossible to do on RPGVX's scripting system?

Check my other RMVX video; I had a prototype rolling counter going, and it seems entirely possible to recreate, however, it would be a complete bitch from my point of view to get it implemented.

Folks, regarding the scripts:

I have lost the original script edits I made, and even if I had them, I wouldn't release them; I didn't note my edits, and the script is just a hackjob; very messy and confusing.

I started a newer version, but life has taken over and I haven't had the time or desire to work on these more. I want to, but I just can't... for the moment.

So please, stop asking, and stop expecting. Then, if and when I finish them and release, you'll all have a pleasant surprise.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm working on Mother 4 (Earthbound 3) and using the same program your using (RPG maker VX). But at lest the default battle system reminds me of Earthbound Zero.
