A great adventure exploring the Thar desert with the Rajput gypsies and asisting to rajasthani wedding rituals in far flung desert mud compounds.

  • Classic piece of footage, thanks for posting. Shame it's wasted on the scum likes of comments below.

  • These are Gypsies, the origin of the stock that migrated westward to Persia, Egypt, and Europe, gave the world the Belly dance and Flamenco that have elements from this original dance. No culture is monkey. A shame that being Ugandan you can make such comments. Where I live I have argued with many who believe that Africans are the closest to (looks) Monkies? What positivity are you spreading? Whatever culture you are there is always another that believes itself to be superior . That is stupid.

these dogs help them to get their food

  • Footage is good song is excellent but this is called child labor dear......

  • You are correct velyogendra, it is similar to a bagpipe. The only difference is that with a pungi, the man plays one end and the cobra has to play the other end. Enjoy!

  • its called "been" in hindi.. its like bagpipe vaguely

  • That instrument is called a been or a pungi. And you are correct Rugiviet, it is compared to the bagpipes. Worldmusicfan (nice name, are you a fan of the snake charmer's music?) good description. It might sound horrible to some people, but I love it. I've been hypnotized many times by the music of the charmer. And the cobra is hypnotized also.
