I had overdosed in London exactly a year earlier: Valentine's Day 1986. We had played the Hammersmith Odeon, and the second we left the stage I caught a taxi with Andy McCoy from Hanoi Rocks.

He took me to a heroin apartment in a real shabby neighborhood. I was drunk and I remember I was very impressed that the dealer had clean needles.

When he offered to shoot up for me, I let him. Big mistake. The problem with street drugs is you never really know exactly how potent they are from dealer to dealer, so I OD'd on the spot. My lips turned purple: I was gone.

The story I heard was that the dealer grabbed his baseball bat and tried to beat the fucking life into me. He couldn't so he flung me over his shoulder to dump me in the trash, because nobody wants a dead rock star laying around. Then I came to...and I guess I had yet another dark secret to never tell anybody.

I've never heard anyone else, friend or enemy, say that Motley lied about their drug use/exploits. I'm sure Andy is a bitter guy and that bitterness certainty traces back to the Razzle accident.Not that I blame him...

@Jupppeee Motley Crue actually cared about their music and still do. Hanoi Rocks wasn't that big of a band. Motley Crue was and still is. You there is a reason for that. Motley Crue is the greatest band ever. They all know what they're doing. Nikki sixx does look good now, after he died he lived a lifetime full of sobriety.

Vince had an accident and Razzle died. Pure and simple. They were both drunk and it just happened. Nikki is a fucking media whore. He craves attention. All musicians do. Andy is a whore as well. The Crue is more popular than Hanoi but, I believe Hanoi had a better credential than Motley. They were just better musicians. You don't need talent to sell records.

more respects too andy on this subject he simply knows much more i believe nikki seems to be putting in some sort of act out of his heroin addiction hes very comfortable describing the "events" endlessly in my opinion as time passed andys kept what seems to be more dignity than nikki now motley seems its aged for worst in their live performances nikkis making more money and seems to have an exception for those god awful scene\emo rip off 80s glam bands like black veil brides and escape the fate

@Jupppeee So apparently people like me think it's cool to use drugs, I'm 13. I got into motley crue by my parents. And read Nikki's books, he says that he did use drugs, he died, yeah, but he recovered and he has lived a lifetime full of sobriety from then on. The only reason they sold so many records is because they are the most badass and rocking band to live.
