Funny how the "rental places" don't tell you what a piece of shit it is when you throw down your cash. Nor do they tell you that you can really get hurt bad by chunks of stump and root that come right at you. I had earmuffs on, and had a root chunk almost take them off my head. I doubt the sunglasses I was wearing would have offered much protection either! The Vermeer worked, but was junky and slow, slipping belt.

You have to be careful with kind of slow grinder. If you get the engine tilted and it's easy to do, you can ruin it because the oil doesn't hit the bearings. Probably cheaper to hire a pro than rent the machine.

Man i save people thousands and cut stumps 2 inches lower and no one knows they re there stump gringing is for the rich and dumb unless you really need it out for construction.

That's what happens with rentals.. lol, but it's a LOT quicker then chopping it out.. we tried that and gave up. (and better for your back!)
