@d1st0rt3dsan1ty I had a frost mage a bit past level 40 with awesome gear, before they made blizzard crit. I remember running instances and getting massive exp and everything died so fast.
Then when the patch came out (patch 3 was it?) I reset my talents and started pulling threat from the tank in Uldaman. There was nothing I could do, I'd wait for a while but still pull threat cause I crit so hard with blizzard. But it was okay because I was killing elites before they could get to me.

roonstrom: u get a shield called mana shield at lvl 20, maybe not in cata but in wortlk u do:P and lvl 40 i think (if ur frost specced) u get ice barier:)

you get ice block at lvl 30 not 28.

This was old school guys, back before BoA's, blizzards that crit (that's right, they didn't used to), and mana restoring trinkets. Hell, you had to spec into iceblock on the frost tree...lol.
