Let's see if I read you right?... It was the Arab Africans along the Kenyan coast who sold African blacks into slavery to Arab lands & other (routes crossed to the Americas). Somalis/Kenyans have been tight for centuries in their slave trading off their coast (Zanzibar). Hardly any African Americans descend from slaves, but lots of them descend from the Arab slavers. Why was the 'food' sent to Kenya (military, humanitarian, commercial sale, ?) Why were negotiations held in Kenya? What role was played in the talks by Obama's cousin, Raila Odinga who is Prime Minister of Kenya? How much military & how much US taxpayer $s are being sent to Kenya as a result? You suggest Obama should have taken 'decisive action' before the short lived hostage crisis took place and then fault the decisive action taken at precisely the right moment.. What kind of 'decisive action' were you imagining? Trans-continental hypnotism? Revoking the pirates parking priveleges? Threatening to withold dessert? The piracy has been going on for years, Obama has been in office less than 3 months.

The responding U.S. ship was 300 miles away, but perhaps you think the U.S. Navy should have had a closer ship. Perhaps they should shoot at pirates preemptively?
