  • I found some lyrics. They partially match this recording, but not exactly. I'm not sure which is right (when they disagree). Here they are.

Nen nen korori yo, okorori yo

Bouya wa yoiko da, nenne shina

Bouya no omoriwa doko e itta

    Anoyam koete, sato e itta.

    Sato no miyagene nani moratta

Denden taiko ni sho no fue.

    GBU,

  • Nen-nen korori yo, Okorori yo. Bōya wa yoi ko da, Nenne shina~ Bōya no omori wa, Doko e itta? Ano yama koete, Sato e itta. Sato no miyage ni, Nani morouta? Den-den taiko ni, Shō no fue. English translation: Hushabye, Hushabye! My good Baby, Sleep! Where did my boy's baby-sitter go? Beyond that mountain, back to her home. As a souvenir from her home, what did you get? A toy drum and a shō flute.

  • @LittleMissSensitive3 both omori 御盛 and komori 子守 mean babysitter.

  • @LittleMissSensitive3

Again, thank you for pointing out the meaning of the word, "Komori". I presume your'e trying to correct the lyric I wrote in the 3rd line. Now, listen carefully to the song and tell me if you hear a "k" in the recording. I don't, and no one else who I've had listen to it hears a "k" being sung. Do you hear a "k"?

  • @LittleMissSensitive3

Hmm...thank you, but I'm not sure why your comment was directed at me. All I asked for was a correct lyric sequence. The quote you gave is nowhere to be found in the audio recording. If you're trying to say that's the actual name of the song, your comment should have been directed at the person who posted the video, because I didn't mention anything about the title one way or the other. But, since you brought it up, every album recording has the title as "komoriuta".

  • Wow, how beautiful! Thank you so much for posting this wonder lullaby for all to enjoy. I was searching for the lyrics and melody on the internet, so that I could sing it to my son; thanks to you, I will be able to. :-) Makoto ni arigatou gozaimashita.
