Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus
arr. by Victor Labenske 2010

1st Sunday in Advent 2011

Words: Charles Wesley, 1744
Music: Rowland Prichard, 1830

Come, thou long-expected Jesus,
born to set thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us,
let us find our rest in thee.
Israel's strength and consolation
hope of all the earth thou art;
dear desire of every nation,
joy of every long heart.

  • Thanks for that magnificent piece. I'd like to ask you if your piano is a "Fandrich and sons". I' just made a research on you tube for frandrich and sons trademark and I was redirected on your site ! ... I'm in the process of buying on one and I'd like to have your comments on it, if so. Thanks !

  • @frogbyte3 Yes, my piano is a 6' Fandrich & Sons. I love my piano. I've had it for 6 years. I live in the same town as the Fandrich's, so I also know them personally. I've played many other pianos, but this one is excellent.

  • Beautiful arrangement, Victor Labenske is awesome!!

  • @jargpiano Thank-you. I agree. I like Victor Labenske's arrangements.

  • Nice! And yes, tomorrow!! I will be playing that but not this arrangement, like yours better!!

  • @aknabea I am not playing tomorrow at a church...just at home this year....I am playing at church on Christmas Eve only this year. Lucky me!

  • I live in Montreal, Canada and I have a friend who is importing them. I played on four (4) of them. They are completely unknown in canada at this time, but their obvious and exceptional qualities are sufficient for me to undertake the risk. (not a professional) I'll buy a 6' too. Thanks also for the link to Andrea Rackl ! Mr Fandrich is a real alchemist. Now, I find Yamaha C3 almost hatched from my wish list.

  • @TweedleDee1 Thanks.

  • Really like that arrangement!
