  • There is something so wonderful about this - although it would never have happened, the idea of the victims gathering together in acceptance as the ship founders is simply marvellous.

  • died like men

  • burst out crying @ 3:31

  • All the historical complaint, it doesn't make sense. IT'S a MOVIE after all not a documentary. It's a very moving scene. A Night to Remember is probably still the best but this was a very good movie. The father and son (although not biological and newly discovered) at the ending is truly crushing.

  • @RelyOnChrist777 No, what he means is that the band played one of the versions of the song. The passangers never sang the song in unison, however..

  • @Messylin You said it would never have happened, when passengers who were actually there said it did happened!!!

  • @movieguru289 What you talking about it will never be proven??? It was reported by passengers that they did sing that hymn before their death on Titanic. Therefore I'm sure most of those men went to heaven. Calling on Gods name before dying is the most is intelligent thing to do. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shalt be saved.( Romans 10:13). Both Valencia and Titanic sang it!! People who don't believe in God hate that fact!!

  • @Cluedokid25 because it the right thing to do by British maritime law and it gives a sense of purpose what else could he do

  • While it will never be proven that this scene happened on the Titanic, the reason why this became a popular myth back then and now is because in 1906 when the SS Valencia sank the crew and passengers left on the ship did just that and since the band was reported to have played this song on the Titanic it was believed the crew and passengers did the same as those on the SS Valencia.

  • Why Captain Smith requests one last entry in the soon to be waterlogged log I'll never understand.

  • @djjim01 If you want a change, with just as much impact, you should listen to a song by 'Mary Fahl' called 'Going Home'

that song makes me cry just as much as this :*(
