The ghost I saw with my spouse in my haunted NYC apt in July '94 was tall, grey, near-solid, a man with a hunched back, hat, and long coat. It was not an experience we'd care to repeat. Also, my husband nearly died a few weeks later. That apt bothered my subtenants, neighbors, overnight guests -- even me sometimes. Sophie Brisman fell and died in there before I took the place -- I think it was she. The man in the hat, we'll never know, but that's kind of a classic.
