National Anthem - Blue Jays vs. Red Sox - Roy Tugbang

Roy Christian Tugbang (born July 16, 1995 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Filipino/Canadian-born singer.

On Saturday August 23rd, Roy auditioned at the Junior Jay's National Anthem Tryouts for a chance to sing at the Rogers Center in front of he Toronto Blue Jays crowd (September 20, 2008). The audition was judged by Farley Flex (Music Promoter, Canadian Idol Judge) and Brian Melo (Winner of Canadian Idol Season 5). Out of the 26 talented contestants, Roy captured the awe of the judges and was given the opportunity to perform on September 20th 2008. Brian Melo commented to Roy saying "you have a great falsetto and huge notes". Farley Flex commented to Roy saying "You sound really good and have a lot of potential; keep singing you sound really really good"[1]. Roy performed "O Canada" and the "Star Spangled Banner" at Toronto's Rogers Center before the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox fans on September 20th 2008.
