I don't like Vox amps. They are too thin and clanky for my tastes. I know that Brits like that piecing Vox compounded by a Rickenbacker sound but I find it grating. The Peavey sounds Bluesier to my ears... which is what I like. Plus, it looks a lot better.

good job!

My take:
The VOX is a higher quality amp. Its got more clarity and bite and the nuances in playing come through more easily (great say for lead guitar).
The Peavy has a nice, bluesier tone, but sounds ultimately like a poorer quality amp with its muddiness. Perhaps ideally placed in rhythm.
Winner: VOX; you can always add a tubescreamer or something of that nature.

Vox no competition, but the peavey could be set loud, full bass with a little grit to fill out the vox, if you wanted. -PK

don't matter, if i give you a shitty amp i bet you'll still make it sound good... nice licks and riffs will sound nice played thru any amp, always loved your playing :)

As always< great demo. Both amps have a great tone, all and all I think the Vox is the one I would pick. Bravo , nice chops.

The vox seems a little brighter with a bit more breakup. I did prefer it tonally but the peavey actually sounds better than I expected.

@ArielsSmartyPants The Peavey is a nice amp, but I still prefer the VOX but this is pretty close
