@ginagrant1 I see your point, I was reacting the twylamercury person intimating that Freddie was private by choice, rather than by force. There were many who depended on him. Even in the 70s it was cool to be glam but not a "f**". But you know Freddie would be out and proud today...

@gabsylv Honey he was a product of the 1970's and because of that he could be what ever he wanted to be. The eighties were hard on many gay stars of the movies and music. It didn't mean that they gave up many went back into the closet and others came more out. Freddie came more out as he got older as did Elton John while others like the lead singer of the Rolling Stones recanted what they'd said during the seventies and went deeper in.
