Not to be outdone by the competition, Toyota Motor Corporation has developed partner robots designed to function as personal assistants for humans. "Assistance" covers a lot of ground for these robots, ranging from elderly care to diverse manufacturing tasks requiring mobility. The series consists of five different types of movement mechanisms, including bipedal and wheeled systems. The robots possess remarkable manual dexterity, being able to play musical instruments such as violin, trumpet and drums.
