Juniper's claims that JUNOS is "One OS, One Release and One Architecture" is really just a myth! View this video and discover yourself why????? It is a really good video that raises a lot of questions driving the ultimate conclusion that Juniper continues to mislead the market!

  • Hi Cisco, next time please use the money you spent making this utter bullshit on fixing your absurdly broken and ghetto code. Thanks.

  • This has got to be the biggest crock of crap I've seen on YouTube in some time. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to discredit JUNOS. Guess the strategy is working :)

What they fail to mention is that it is one OS from a development point of view, I don't think Juniper has ever claimed every feature is consistent across every platform.

Do we consider Call manager to be IOS?

Do Nexus cards fit into a 6500?

You can win with with the best technology, or lots of marketing spin :)

  • Palo Alto is BOSS!!!! It's laughable that Juniper and Cisco are still trying to compete.

  • Fuck Cisco

  • Nice work Cisco...maybe a good way to get marketshare back..after loosing it and makiing customers wait for 90-120 days for a L2 switch - haha

  • Junos for SRX supports IPv6!

  • Maybe this is more evident in 2011 than in 2009, when this video was released.

Did Cisco really put this out?? Bizarre!

Hansleandgretel, you misspelled "Hansel". Please file a bug. :-)

  • @dnaude Exactly. E-series as well. E-series functionality is being put into the MX, which runs Junos. Obviously, Juniper never claimed that E-series runs Junos. Junose is, however, very similar to IOS, so network engineers familiar with IOS are comfortable with Junose. SSG (Netscreen firewall) technology went into developing the SRX platforms, which run Junos. Sure there are some functional differences; but the similarity of the Junos cli between platforms cannot be denied.

  • @farsonic This kind of crap-talk is consistent with the marketing dept within any of the OEMs. Marketing has always been one big fail.

  • Technically, the video told the truth.

  • This may be marketing and we all hate that- BUT the bottom line is that this is accurate and the Juniper bullship is just that-
