nice song choice.

I can't expect this at a funfair, let alone someone's garage!

Eric, you've no way of knowing, but you've been a great inspiration. I've operated my own home dark-ride for the last 3 years and learned much from your experience. I use an electric wheelchair for my cart base, with a boat seat over the frame, to allow seating for two. For track, I use modular 4' sq. wood platforms as the base with PVC track (found that electrical conduit is sturdiest) & I used a heat gun to bend the curves. Entire ride is 12' X 32' and is built in my driveway. Runs great!

Hey, that's great to hear. Now you are the 3rd person (myself included) with your own personal dark ride! We are a special breed.
We use conduit to hold the sheeting that divides the scenes.
You were smart to start from a wheelchair, as it probably required a lot less hassle than my built-from-scratch approach.

The scenes and props are great, pro-level! Nice work. But I give up on the chair: how does it move?

Check the blog in the description. Its an electric motor powered by a stack of 36V lithium batteries, running on a PVC track.
