CART FEDEX 2002 CHAMPIONSHIP - VIDEO RACE RECAP - April 27 2002 -- Bridgestone Potenza 500 - Twin Ring Motegi - Japan. This race did show one accident. Since this track is hard on engines, many of them 'mostly Honda engines' blows. In fact, this was an attrition race. Bell was the unlucky dog since he was the only one who hit the wall. Junqueira experienced a hell of a race. Junqueira, Bell, Franchitti and Tagliani animated this race. In the video, you will find onboard shots from Franchitti, Nakano, Takagi and Bell racecars. @khristian49 First, 424.113 km/h is 263.59 mph, and not 234.40 mph. The cars have never be able to drive that speed. The speed you see is the average speed of the lap. I thought the lap record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was something like 237 mph. So it's impossible to drive a lap average of 263.59mph/424 km/h and it's certainly impossible at the Motegi Speedway.
