  • Karajan once said that this movement was "music not of this world, it is from eternity."

  • Bernstein's presentation here is nothing less than pure musical genius.

  • @IsaacDelarge "It is music coming from another world, it is coming from eternity." ;)

  • It is hard to find words for the Mahler 9th symph. 4th movement, especially this interpretation. This movement is so emotional and stirring, after that i feel i was reborn. Mahler and Bernstein are great!

  • Bernstein is the best ! =]

  • This movement gets me so high I sometimes have to switch it off for fear of fainting.

  • THis is the Best Conducting I've seen.

  • So unforgettable. Thank you!!!: Cheers!!!; ~Sergio.

  • thanks

  • It's the fourth movement, the Adagio...around 2 min from beginning of the movement.

  • nice to see Bernstein appear in the Berlin Philharmonie, where he was all but kept out by Karajan because of his religion.

  • anyone knows which part is it from? is it from the beginning of the first movement?the middle?end??
