@Ares99999 You're telling me you don't think that there are people in some countries who have been killed/imprisoned for writing things that go against the people in power?

This is like SOPA!

CNN will report the collapse of the monetary system one week after being off the air. ;)
-
@imsiriustube Well, since you obviously are delluded enough to think the world is doomed, where is your documented proof? Or are you just spouting it in a burst of self-importance?

Someone isn't a hero, madman, a brave person, or a murderer until they do it, so yeah.
-
@xsf908 Think CNN or something like conventional corporate media.
President Clarke was - in the Babylon 5 Universe - the Earth Alliance President , leader of Earth, and generally not a big believer in civil rights and all around non-nice guy.
-
@TheNigel01 Well, If you've ever watched Fox News or ABC, or NBC or even CBS nowadays - it's pretty clear there's no need to worry about this kind of thing happening. The closest Fox has to a journalist is whenever Shep Smith points out some obvious fact and is taken off the air for 2 weeks. Better to stick close to what Mr. Beck or O'Rielley say - because they love America...everyone else is just communists lurking - or so I'm told.

i like this clip, imagine the shock if it happened in the real world.

@imsiriustube It only takes 1 brave soul to report this. Ever thought about that?

the problem today is that you have to agree with the left(democrats or the right(republicans). But there is no middle party.
Here in europe we still have the middle buffer party. But they get smaller and smaller.
So the future is grim because neither side is right all the time....
You'll probably never see something like this for real. Not that the US and parts of Europe aren't heading towards tyranny. They are. It's just that the corporate media is so in bed with the government, they'd never risk their networks, their jobs, or their lives to bring people the truth about what's really going on. You only see that kind of real, self-less journalism from individuals today. Many of them dying in places you don't know the names of, sadly quickly forgotten.
