I really like it! People these days seem to forget that a good musician is an interpreter not a mimic. That said it's not without flaws, the arrangment, whilst still suitably folk-ballad does skimp on the Irish-feel. Of course the point of the song is to poke fun at folk songs in general it just happens to be called 'The Irish Ballad' so it's not a big deal. Also the count of 8 between verses makes the song feel very fragmented, a count of four would've been better.

Haha! Delightful twist of irony that the tippy-toe-y sound of the uke should provide accompaniment to this dark, dark ditty.

Whoa.. great singing..
You know.. this really is utterly sans irish...
but I REALLY like it! It's actually a GREAT rendition! Very catchy, the way you play it. I love playing the Uke too.. it's such a versatile instrument... and so transportable!
keep it up.

I know... I started playing it closer to how tom actually plays it, but this is more fun. :)
Thanks for the compliments!
