This is amazing!

yeah Liefeld didnt do the whole run with Simonson, but he did quite a few issues. Yeah, it sucked that Doug and 'Locke died.
:D indeed.

Glad you liked the Simonson/Liefeld issues... they weren't my scene tho since Mirage, Magma and Magik got kicked out & Cypher + Warlock died.
Anyway we agree we love the characters :D

Rahne is actually my favorite X-men related character. I think she got treated rather poorly by the authors after new mutants ended. I guess I can relate personally to someone who was raised in a religiously fundamental to the point of abuse environment and then very gradually grew out of it and found out that the world is a lot more beautiful when you see it with understanding instead of ignorance.
Danielle got screwed too. Her powers were redefined by just about every author.

A lot of that generation got pretty screwed over.

My uncle collectionof these were the first comics I ever read. I still love it, especially the early Claremont/McLeod stories. That was the best team line up.
Personal, I don't want to offend and say Simonson/Liefeld ruined it, but I think it was a step in the wrong direction.

Well, yeah. They did take a different approach. I probably only like it because I am HUGE fans of both Rictor and Boom Boom.

Yeah, you have a point. Mostly I think Liefeld's style of artwas not right for this particular title. What's your perfect line up?

ugh, don't get me wrong. I hate Liefeld art. Well, I prefer the X-force line up that followed it, when Rictor rejoined them. But New Mutants wise, I liked Cannonball, Boom-Boom, Rictor, Sunspot, Warlock...I know Wolfsbane was there too, but I rather dislike her character.
