When Bush took office (by theft) in 2000, less than 1 trillion in swaps was on the books. By 2008, American companies had written $60 trillion in swaps. The guys that wrote these unfunded instruments got richer - we are all going to get poor trying to fix what they broke!

1. Letting all entities fail will cause unemployment - loss of pensions and a depression - which we would already be in if we had NOT acted. Is that what you smartie Obama haters want? All the car makers, banks gone - HUGE scale job loss, no consumer spending, your small businesses will fail - credit ice age.
2. Did you think tax cuts on the rich and oil drilling is enough to fix a $60 trillion hole!No! Not even in the realm of possibility.
