A breathtaking, hilarious sketch from ANNE BANCROFT's Emmy award winning 1970 TV special, Annie - the Women In The Life of a Man. The late Bancroft proves herself a peerless comic performer in this tour de force sketch, adapted from a New Yorker piece by Thomas Meehan. (Although the line "Folks, I guess you all know the Aga Khan.." has a touch of husband Mel Brooks about it!) The speechless psychiatrist is Broadway legend Lee J. Cobb.

There was a version of The Yma Dream on HBO about twenty years ago with Joyce Van Patten and Jack Gilford. It was funny too, but they played it differently: she was full of anxiety as she recalled the dream and her psychiatrist remained totally calm.
