Last piece is Benny Goodman's 'Sing Sing Sing'. Great shame here - nothing like his performance in Calgary and VERY lucky that most had a bad skate too. His Presentation marks helped him through

I think they would have held him up like the did world champions back then even with a miss, his artistic marks would have been really high. There just wouldnt have been the head to head battle of the brians, but he still would have medaled

He was incredibly lucky here. If the short programs had been skated like they were in Calgary he could have been knocked all the way down to 9th in the short like Fadeev was in Calgary when he blew the combination. Combined with his figures showing he would have been right ouf of medal contention. Thankfully for Brian the short program here was nothing like Calgary with every single contender either falling or withdrawing (fadeev) except for Boitano.
