@reverendflash Reverend, this is not only a spoof but it is VERBATIM. Get the early '70s book 'LENNON REMEMBERS' and read it. These lyrics are 100% from the book in Lennon's words. The very first line in the book is John saying 'I would have been a fisherman but I couldn't because I'm a F*& Genius. It's really a great read because later he breaks down how he & Paul wrote the songs.This is a parody but is 100% Lennon statements. That's what makes it so great! Lennon was bitter at the time.

You weren't even born soon enough to know OK lunkhead , there are tons of footage of bands , from then to now attributing the Beatles as both inspiration and knowledge. That includes interviews with member of the Stones saying the Beatles pushed them to be better. Your cute analogies aside , you couldn't be more wrong.
