My contract for Verizon doesn't run out for a year, I believe. So I know this is early, however I'd like to start now and spend the next year doing research. I'm considering upgrading to a smartphone or downgrading to a Jitterbug phone (Google "Jitterbug Dial" for info on that - the reason is because of the large font screen, large print buttons, and text-only instructions without confusing tiny icons). I have not 100% appreciated the limitations of the Jitterbug in terms of texting because I'm not sure I can handle having my iPod sync every 15 minutes with a web server and telling everyone to email their texts to me instead - I think that would be a bit much. I've been anti-blackberry for a long while but now that the Storm is coming out, with a 3.5" touch screen and really big icons, I may want to give Blackberry a shot; also I hate Microsoft & windows mobile. I'll use Microsoft's products if I have no other choice, but if I do have a choice I'd prefer something else. So what's your input on Microsoft Windows Mobile vs. RIM Blackberry? Thanks in advance for your input and contribution.

  • wait til windows mobile 7 comes out

  • @thainusai Windows Phone 7 series, from what I've seen so far, seems to be copying Apple; i.e. no multi-tasking, Windows market being the only way to get apps, etc.

does a windows mobile device work better with hotmail email? or wil it work as equally as another email address? rank hotmail, gmail, yahoo and why in that order.

  • @thainusai I don't use Pocket PC/Windows Mobile, so I wouldn't know. The email providers I Like are Gmail, Yahoo & Hotmail.

  • make sure you get either the storm 2 or the bold 2 you will not be dissapointed. and while youre at it, get some contacts lol

  • Tried the contacts once, it actually made things worse. In addition to having low vision, I also have cerebral palsy. I cannot get at things like quarters easily, nor can I pick something up with a very thin edge that's not at the edge of a table, of course it depends on what it is. The same goes for contacts. I couldn't get my lens out fast enough to avoid having all the liquid sapped from the lens, causing irritation, on a windy day. The result? I went blind for two months. Try that for size.

  • i do not recommend windows mobile non touch i recommend windows mobile touch

  • Eh, I like Windows Mobile 6.1 since thats the only version i've used. I am using a Blackberry now, I can't find any apps for Windows Mobile like I can for BB. I like them both, but i'm going too stick with BB until I find some good apps/themes for my wm phone.
