High speed filming showing brutal testing of shatter-proof 20" blacklights by Shat-R-Shield. A normal, uncoated tube is fired at the end to illustrate the difference. This was filmed at 600 frames per second.

  • im starting to notice a trend of whenever something is shot, launched, or propelled, people give you shit about accuracy. in your next shooting vid you should give people a challenge and see what they do, because i believe you are a better marksman than most of them.

  • @meuberepic That's the nature of Youtube. Everyones' dad can beat up my dad too. lol

  • You should sell these videos to whoever makes those Shat-R-Shield lamps, as a testimony to their strength!

    :D

Oh, and make sure you send them the ones with the head in it. LOL

  • @ExpertOfSound I did some work for them. It was a pain in the butt though. They sent me a coffee mug and a nice jacket. I think they were surprised how well their tubes held up too.

  • why use Flourescent lamps as projectiles??? wouldn't it work with something else?

  • @JaasterMareel It was just a spur of the moment thing, we ran out of other objects to shoot so we tried the lamps. We had a couple cases of them.

  • Regardless, florescent tubes & CFL (Mini/Micro curly tubes) still contain mercury.

Since they already have shatter-proof incandescent bulbs, LED's completely surpass them for being the most durable :D Not toxic either :)

That was some serious abuse testing.
