This really is a fine video. Towards the end, when you hear the gentleman and his young female companion debating whether to leave the horses in the barn or not...this gives a glimpse at the very real life or death situations that tornadic episodes force upon people in their paths. The virtual silence between them prior to that also speaks volumes. You can bet your last penny that they're both praying hard for that monster to pull back up into the clouds or change direction. @bookworm1960 Sure looks strong to me, bro. In fact, I was directly under that thing. Don't believe me? YouTube keyword "Aurora tornado Joel Ewing 2009) and see my vid. I heartily recommend that you first turn UP your volume....then you'll get to experience just what the insane winds sound like firsthand. Reed Timmer and all those other guys were directly in front of me by one car length...parked. You'll see. If I'm not mistaken, this nader got upgraded to low-end EF-3...I think?? Thanks, Joel
@tekmonster99 My grandparents and uncles had farms about an hour and a half north of Grand Island. I specifically remember my cousins telling me about a couple of F-4 tornadoes, about a year apart, that came thru their area...killing people. My cousin said "the part you never see on t.v. is how horrible these things are to the livestock. Sometimes after tornadoes, farmers have to follow the tornadoe's path with a deer rifle to finish off the cattle and horses that have boards thru 'em, etc.
On Occasion mother nature gets her pissy pants on and drops one down to remind us who she is and what she can do - living in Eastern Texas I understand that now .. when its time to move - she just gives ya a hand moving

Damn, One of those slow-moving "grinders", they don't look very strong, but they are so slow that they do considerable amount of damage.
