1990 was mostly remembered for the melodious songs of Aashiqui composed by Nadeem-Shravan. Aashiqui made the careers of N-S and Kumar Sanu. The movie became itself hit because of these melodious songs. Besides Aashiqui there were also some other superhit movies and songs like Dil composed by (Anand-Milind) especially song ''Mujhe Neend Na Aaye''; Baaghi (also by A-M), Ghayal (Bappi Lahiri) to name some.

Aashiqui is also ranked as one of the best soundtrack and also most sold music albums. In my opinion, Aashiqui and DDLJ was the best soundtrack of the 90s.

I'd say 1991 was EQUALLY as good as 1990, with great tracks from movies such as LAMHE, SAUDAGAR, HUM, SAAJAN, VISHWATAMA, SAATHI, SADAK, PATTHAR KE PHOOL, AJOOBA...to name but a few..

Thank you all for great feedback. 1990 was a great year for music with so many hit music albums but one album (Aashiqui) shadowed others. If you want to listen all the songs from "Aashiqui" then just click on "Aashiqui All Songs" on the video, this will lead to Aashiqui songs with jukebox (where you can choose songs).
