  • Shea, thanks! This was shot either before the firmware for manual control of exposure was available, or I didn't yet know how to use in Manual. I'm replying because if you search the web two people just caught something impacting Jupiter causing a flash of light bright enough to see from earth. Will post link if I find it. Thanks again everyone.

  • @TotalBizcut I have a 5d and a 7d and you don't need a telescope this is all natural. you just crop it and it comes out like this.

  • Try looking at the moon through binoculars, better than this.

  • Great shot! - Kill auto ISO & don't walk on the deck - hehe BTW HD enables us to see the atmospheric perturbations. I always dream of an asteroid hit when rolling footage like this - that would be so awesome.
