while in cuba i got this and on the planeride back my ears kept popping my my swimmers ear canal kept closing and popping and it hurts like FUCK

I have it right now it doesn't hurt that bad but still enough that I can't sleep. I'm getting ear drops tomorrow hopefully they will work. If not FML

I went to the doctor Tuesday and got ear drops. It's Friday morning and the pain hasn't gotten better. I've been taking pain pills every four hours. This is probably the worst pain in my life. Does anyone know how long I should wait to go back and tell them it's not working? I'm scared. My eardrum is POUNDING. Feels like a heart beat. And I can't sleep more than 2 hours at a time. Bathing is also difficult. I've been taking baths. Someone help? :(
