Steve Miller Band pre-1971 >>>>>>> Steve Miller Band post-1971

@Dominator8146 Agreed Dominator, there are a few common words, not in the same order, different tune, different feel,. If that's considered plagiarism, I'm not going to use the alphabet again, mightt get sued.

a similar message??? dont think either song has much of a message but the melody and lyric of the first 8 bars is virtually identical and certainly constitutes plagiarism.swiching the 'so fine'and' mine' around and whatnot and changing the last 4 bars hardly makes it 'no way the same'. it hit me immediately upon listening.im amazed anyone can listen to both records and not hear it

@felltone If music doesn't send you a message, they you aren't listening. Every song has a message. You must not be a true SMB fan because if you were you would know that he has covered many songs from that period and has even referenced them in his songs and has been known to use a lyric or two but that doesn't make in plagiarism or a rip off, it's more of a tribute. Why don't you do yourself a favor and check out their newest album "Bingo" and you will see what I mean.

this is a complete rip-off of the Cleftones 'Little Girl of Mine'[which is on youtube] surprised they were never called on it

@felltone I compared the lyrics and although they send a similar message, they are in no way the same. Most certainly not a rip off.
