@bettytoo2 Yeah I think I would want to do something a bit more flexible too. I did a course unit with the OU in Web Basics (it was designing web pages). It was okay, but I think that was also partly because I was not having to write any essays LOL. I had to do practical tasks in designing a website and then a report based on that. I am starting a new online course on Jan 26th with a different uni.

Yeah unfortunately when your doing an open university english degree, art history course in the first year compulsory . Then you have no choice in your second year .thats planned for you too. so i've decided not to get an english lan and lit degree.I like a bit of choice ,I'm just going to get an open degree where l can study different subjects more fun. thanks for watching.

Can't believe that Art History is compulsory to get an English Degree. That really sucks! I find online dictionaries quite useful. You need a BIG dictionary - it's like the size of an A4 piece of paper!! You can get them in WHSmith I think. Sometimes they have them on special offers. If he said to get an art criticism book, he should tell you a specific book recommendation. Ask him for a suggestion.

@vlal28 . Yeah I've finally got a big dictionary from the library . Yeah I did ask him for the specific book but l think he forgot. But I did ask him for another week so . l'll have my head buried in the books this week doing this essay lol
