Ok. I used to think it was red until someone told me why it is yellow.

Yellow is the offical colour of the City of Modena where Ferrari are from. That is why the ferrari badge is YELLOW as that is their offical colour. The first Ferrari was also YELLOW you need an education.
Red is not the offical colour of ferrari, that is their racing colour ONLY.
