Best snake SHED video. Baby corn snake. AMAZING detail (full shed)

My pet corn snake Leeroy was due to shed. When he started pressing his face against the corner of the tank, I ran for my video camera. Usually he sheds in the middle of the night... was he actually going to do this in front of us?? Leeroy is the best and never ceases to amaze me. Last week he swallows a baby mouse while hanging and now this!! Here is a super high quality video of him shedding, from start to finish.

Video was taken with a DSLR Nikon D90... sorry, I still need work on manual focusing with shallow depth of field :)

@LittleMissMetal13 It certainly depends on how well you care for it. But I've read upwards of 10 years.

how big is leeroy now? :) And how many snakes do you have?

@winterbeauty1991 Leeroy is 1.5yrs old now.. he's over 30" long. I have one other snake a Mexican Black Kingsnake, you can see videos of him on my channel as well.

Do the snakes get bigger with each shed?

@mcm242 Yes, it's one of the main reasons why they shed.. they've sort of outgrown their old skin.

@LittleMissMetal13 Actually they say if you take really good care of them, they can live to be up to 15-20 years, the oldest snake the people I have talked to have seen was 20! ;)

@CornSnake78 yeah just leave till after she'd because while in shed there spare skin would go over there eyes making it blury so Thats why it ain't eating because it don't know what it is

hey my corn has had the blue eyes for 3 days now they gone but he still hasnt shed how long does it usually take he missed his feeding yesterday so feed him after he sheds?
