163 mph

My car a 1994 Rover 620Ti turbo hitting 163mph on a rolling road. Sounds alot for the car but that was at 7200rpm. Just hitting the rev limiter

the 163 was on limiter at about 7200rom. and on the road it has been at about 6800rpm so im reckoning about 157mph. not sure though as speedo not accurate. gonna sell her soon. :-(

Standard one red lines at 6,500 rpm.

I've seen the car on eBay and rovertech, looked pretty good. Would be interesting to see what it would top out at for real.

they normally do i think but when asked how far i wanted the tester to take it i said all the way. hit the limiter. mine is for sale and i would recommend buying one. lots of fun for very little money. unless like me you spend 10k dong it up.

@shazash1 The 620ti is a great car! I had two of them and they were both great fun to drive. They have plenty of room for all sorts too - when our son was born the boot happily swalled all the stuff we needed to take with us so couldn't ever complain. A real Q car too! The engines are very strong and in turbo form pull very well from low revs - incidently, they don't have K series engines.

fair play mate, i own a very rare ti dyno,d at 293 bhp, i took mine up to 150 mph and bottled it , still had more on the pedal,ignore what people say about these cars,,,,,,,,,,, so any one who thinks rovers are shit then come to santa pod next year and try me, ( the gooch)
