Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler
By Simon Dunstan and Gerrard Williams

DID HITLER—CODE NAME "GREY WOLF"—REALLY DIE IN 1945?
GRIPPING NEW EVIDENCE SHOWS WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED...
When Truman asked Stalin in 1945 whether Hitler was dead, Stalin replied bluntly, "No." As late as 1952, Eisenhower declared: "We have been unable to unearth one bit of tangible evidence of Hitler's death." Military historian Simon Dunstan and investigative journalist Gerrard Williams may have uncovered the truth behind one of the greatest deceptions in history: that Adolph Hitler did not commit suicide on April 30, 1945 but escaped from the ruins of the Third Reich—along with Eva Braun, hundreds of millions in plundered assets, and other key Nazi figures—to a remote enclave in Patagonia, where he lived out his life until his death in 1962. As recently as 2008, independent DNA-testing proved that the famous "Hitler Skull" fragment recovered at the bunker was not that of Hitler or Braun. And no other eyewitnesses or forensic evidence can prove that the Führer and Braun died in the bunker.

In GREY WOLF: The Escape of Adolf Hitler (October 2011, 978-1-4027-8139-1, Sterling), Dunstan and Williams make a powerful case for the Führer's escape—a fact almost too horrible to contemplate. For the authors, the trail began in Argentina in 2006, where in a remote city in the foothills of the Andes, no one they talked to seemed surprised that Hitler had lived there after the Nazi defeat. They reconstruct the dramatic and remarkably plausible plot through five years of globe traveling and meticulous research—including extensive and compelling eyewitness testimony, unearthing declassified and classified government documents, dredging up long-buried news articles, and piecing together mountains of evidence to tell the entire dramatic story from beginning to end for the first time.

Williams and Dunstan show how the Nazi Party's grand puppet-master, Martin Bormann, meticulously planned the operation from 1943 onward, and follow the escape route Hitler could have used, citing specific people, aircraft, U-boats, hideouts, and dates. Other important details emerge, including the possible involvement of top CIA officials who are said to have granted Nazi war criminals a "safe haven" in America and elsewhere after World War II. The book also examines the subsequent years Hitler and his collaborators are said to have spent in Argentina and their involvement with several South American governments.

Horrifying, suspenseful, and impossible to put down, Grey Wolf unravels an extraordinary story that flies in the face of history . . . but that very likely did actually occur. Perhaps this is a mystery that will never be solved, or perhaps, once in the public arena, other facts will come to light that will bring us even closer to the truth.

  • @WerWolfWar yeah, but most people are easily led morons.

  • @phyloroadking yeah, but its hard not to get angry with brainwashed idiots

  • be entered with military passes, this territory bought from argentina government since 1943 by german administrators. It can also be said that there is a great community of Germans in San Carlos de Bariloche and as late as 1960s you could see national socialist flags with swastikas on top of several buildings in the city. So we can say theres huge evidence of nazi presence in the place, although i haven't read the book, with all this information people should be more open minded..

  • haven't read the book, but I think it can be said to be unbelievable finding a burnt human skull and say it's Hitlers.. Also it is widely known that high rank nazi personnel escaped from the sinking third reich and went to Argentina precicely San Carlos de Bariloche where G. Peron built a scientific complex just for nazi scientists, for example dr. Richster famous for his fusion claim. It can also be said that in that region theres a territory of 10.000 squared miles which can only..

  • This is a load of crap with absolutely no basis in fact. The author's are aiming this book and this film at the ignorant and the uneducated. Don't be sucked in.

  • But shit you got 0 prof...he never left berlin.

  • It's very UN-believable. Williams has been boo'd off a number of historical discussion forums when his advertising descended into him insulting other posters and their opinions rather than answering questions put to him. Being a journalist, he doesn't seem to accept that "we believe..." is not an acepted academic level of proof on something as big as this claim.

The book is full of padding, there's at least five chapters of general WWII history before the main subject matter appears!

  • this is very believable.
