Kudos to US Airways for their crew and their training. Of course, the pilot is why this is a miracle story instead of a tragedy story. But the rest of the crew and the passengers themselves .... awesome job. Witnesses say it went in nose-high, like the space shuttle. Nothing less than a perfect ditch. Thanks for the video post!

People have no idea how hard it was to do a water landing in this type of aircraft. The amazing pilot had to have just the right angle of attack to prevent the aircraft from: 1. Ripping a wing(s) off
2. Fliping over
3. Nose diving after touchdown Any on of those possibilities would have resulted in loss of life of some (or all) on board.
The pilot is truly a hero and judging by what I've read will be humble and say he "was just doing his job."

You know what for a huge plane with 2 engines that act like 2 Water scoops when hitting the water The pilot did indeed do a awsome job of gliding the aircraft to landing
